Airlines are boycotting Dubai this winter. 

Norwegian, SAS and Finnair all cancel flights, reports Daily Paper. 

– The reason is the unstable security situation in the Middle East, says Catharina Solli at Norwegian.

Since the war between the United States, Israel and Iran broke out in February, the situation in the Middle East has been uncertain.

At the height of the war, virtually all flights to and from the popular resort of Dubai were halted, leaving many Swedes stranded in the city. Flights have been back in the air for some time now – but the war is still affecting travel options to and from the city.

Norwegian is canceling all its flights to and from Dubai this winter, Dagbladet reports. This applies to scheduled departures from three Nordic capitals, including Stockholm and Copenhagen.

– The reason is the uncertain security situation in the Middle East. Affected customers have been informed, Catharina Solli at Norwegian tells the newspaper. 

According to her, there are 1,500 customers who have already booked winter flights to Dubai.

Norwegian is not the only airline to drop Dubai this winter. SAS is also canceling scheduled flights from Copenhagen, and Finnair is doing the same from Helsinki.
