Condor is expanding its European route network from Frankfurt with Stockholm, Athens and Florence in the spring of 2027. Stockholm will be the only one of the three new destinations to be served year-round, with two daily departures from May 13.
The investment means that Condor's so-called City network will grow to a total of 16 European metropolitan destinations.
First up is Athens, where service will start on April 28, 2027. The line will run daily during the summer season.
Florence will be added on May 6 and will have two daily departures during the summer.
Stockholm Arlanda will be connected on May 13 and will be served twice a day all year round.
Stockholm part of larger hub initiative
The expansion is part of Condor's strategy to strengthen Frankfurt as a hub for both European traffic and long-haul travel.
According to the company, the new routes will create more connection opportunities to destinations in North America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.
“By expanding our City network, we are purposefully investing in the continued development of our hub at Frankfurt Airport,” says Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm, CCO at Condor.
Condor states that the timetables have been coordinated to facilitate exchanges between European traffic and long-haul routes from Frankfurt.
16 European city destinations
With the three new routes, Condor will have 16 European city destinations in its network from Frankfurt in the summer of 2027.
The company describes the expansion as part of the development from a more purely leisure airline towards a broader network airline with both short- and long-haul routes.
