100 incorrectly parked electric scooters locked up

The city of Malmö has towed away and locked up around 100 electric scooters that had been parked incorrectly on the city's streets, reports Sweden's radio P4 Malmöhus.

The company that owns the bikes has not picked up a single one of them since the first electric scooter was taken in care of in December.

If the bicycles are not collected, the city of Malmö will scrap them at the company's expense.

”"Yes, if they don't pick them up, we have to scrap them, we can't have parking space for them forever," says Eva Svenning, operations manager for parking issues in Malmö to Swedish Radio.
