At least 100 new jobs are expected at Hässleholm's new train depot, which will be inaugurated in December next year. There, 111 Öresund trains will be maintained under the auspices of Mantena and SJ Öresund.

At the beginning of September, it became known that SJ is establishing a new subsidiary, SJ Öresund, with the task of managing the Öresund train traffic, which SJ will take over next year.

Together with the Helsingborg-based train maintenance company Mantena, SJ will also be responsible for the maintenance of 111 Öresund trains in the train workshop being built in Kärråkra outside Hässleholm, and which will be managed by Region Skåne.

The entire project is a total of 26,500 square meters and is estimated to cost 1.5 billion SEK. The various buildings will consist of five buildings with a workshop, offices, cleaning building, wheel lathe, combi hall, reception station and a cleaning platform.

The train depot will be put into operation in December next year and a recruitment process is now also beginning: at least 100 new people will be hired, both administrative and technical staff.

”"Intensive work is currently underway to find the right candidates and it has already been shown that there is a huge interest in applying for the new positions," says Kjetil Hovland, CEO of Mantena.
