Authorities in Colombia have seized 130 poison dart frogs at Bogota airport and arrested a Brazilian woman who was trying to smuggle them out of the country.

The woman, who was on her way to Sao Paulo in Brazil via Panama, had hidden the frogs in film containers.

The endangered species is sought after on the international market and, according to Bogota's police chief, private collectors pay up to $1,000, equivalent to 10,000 Swedish kronor, for a frog.
