
1.6 million passengers traveled with SAS in February this year, which corresponds to an increase of 64 percent compared to the same month last year.
The number of passenger kilometers increased by 61 percent and capacity measured as ASK, or air seat kilometers, increased by 33 percent. The cabin factor, which measures how well-filled the planes are, increased by 13 percentage points to 71 percent.
The trend of increased passenger demand continues, according to CEO Anko van der Werff:
”During the month, we inaugurated our route from Copenhagen to JFK in New York as part of the work to strengthen our US offering. We continue to prepare for an active summer season in 2023 and the opening of 20 new summer routes,” he comments.
Punctuality during the period was 71.9 percent and regularity 97.7 percent.
The yield, passenger revenue divided by paid passenger kilometers excluding charter, was SEK 1.07, an increase of 4.6 percent and 1.8 percent adjusted for currency effects.
