Despite unrest in the world and the resulting reduction in flights to Turkey, the number of passengers at the airport increased by over 5,000 passengers to almost 105,000.

The background to the success is Norrköping's trust among tour operators and the newly launched regular route to Munich.

– The regular route has developed very well after a tentative start. With two departures per day since April and a new and improved timetable since November 1, more and more people seem to be discovering how convenient it is to travel from Norrköping to or via Munich. From a fairly low level in the start year 2016, the number of travelers has doubled in 2017! Says Håkan Liljeblad, chairman of Norrköping Airport AB.
