A total of 15,782 passengers traveled to and from Jönköping in 2022, which is an increase of 254 % compared to the previous year's figures. The amount of cargo handled by the airport totaled 3,443 tons, which corresponds to an increase of 24 % compared to 2021.
The high percentage increase in passengers is explained by the fact that charter traffic after the pandemic only started in the fall of 2021. In the winter and fall of 2022, there were departures to Gran Canaria and in between, a summer series of departures to Mallorca. In addition, a total of six incoming charter flights from Germany, which was four more than in the summer of 2021.
