The Asia-Pacific region is in need of at least 240,000 pilots over the next two decades.
Boeing states this in its outlook, which also includes information about new aircraft deliveries, reports the BBC.
According to Boeing, 40 percent of all new aircraft will go to Asian customers by 2037.
The high demand for aircraft and pilots comes from rising living standards and creating a desire to travel among people, while many existing pilots are retiring. To meet this combination, both more pilots and aircraft are needed.
Boeing's forecasts for the region also add that cabin crew will need to be increased by 317,000 people during the period.
If demand is broken down by region and country, China is the dominant player with a need for about half of the new pilots, according to Boeing.
