A total of 2.4 million passengers traveled with SAS in July, an increase of 82 percent compared to the same month last year when the company's pilots went on strike.

”"The summer season continued with another active month for SAS. 2.4 million passengers traveled with SAS in July, the highest passenger number since before the pandemic. We are pleased with the positive development in passenger demand, with a continued high number of bookings during the month of July," says Anko van der Werff, President and CEO of SAS, in a comment.

SAS's capacity (ASK) increased by 84 percent in July to a total of 4,872 million seat kilometers. The number of passenger kilometers (RPK) increased by 92 percent, to 4,177 million kilometers.

The cabin load factor, which is a measure of how well-filled the aircraft are, amounted to 85.7 percent in June, an increase of 3.5 percentage points compared to July last year.

SAS is up between 3-4 percent on the Stockholm Stock Exchange on Monday morning on a declining stock market. Since the turn of the year, the troubled company's shares have lost just over 13 percent.
