45 people have died after a bus caught fire in Bulgaria on Tuesday morning, writes TASS.
"At least 45 people died after a bus caught fire and crashed, or crashed and then caught fire," Nikolai Nikolov, head of the fire safety department at the Interior Ministry, told BTV television station.
12 of the dead are children.
The bus, registered in neighboring North Macedonia, caught fire on the Struma highway in western Bulgaria. According to the BBC, the tourist bus was en route from Turkey to North Macedonia.
At least seven burn victims have been taken to hospital in Sofia.
