Plans are currently being discussed there for a 280-meter-high building, the HC Andersen Adventure Tower. If the plans go ahead, it will be the tallest building in the Nordic region.

A project group has approached the Copenhagen Municipality with a request to build an adventure and amusement park in Ydre Nordhavn in Copenhagen, which will surround the tall building. Inside, the project group envisions a mix of housing, hotels and businesses – and then a restaurant and sky bar at the very top.

The project group's goal is to break ground in 2023, but this requires that municipal politicians speed up the planning process for the area.

Turning Torso, which opened in Malmö in 2005, is 190 meters tall. In Gothenburg, plans are underway for a 245-meter-high building on Hisingen, Karlatornet, which is due to be completed in three years.
