The ongoing strike against the state-owned French train operator SNCF that began last week has cost the company around 100 million euros (just over one billion kronor), according to CEO Guillaume Pepy.
The employees have threatened two strike days every five days in protest against the government's planned cutbacks within SNCF.
Negotiations between employee representatives and the government have so far led nowhere and have led to increasing resistance to planned measures among several unions.
