Up to one in five Öresund trains have been out of service in recent weeks.
The shortage of trains has led to shorter trains and congestion. Skånetrafiken criticizes the Danish company DSB Vedligehold, which services the Öresund trains.
”"There is a shortage of trains on certain departures, which means that passengers have to stand up on the trains. It is absolutely unfortunate. Not good at all," says Mark Fenzel, business area manager for trains at Skånetrafiken, to Sydsvenskan.
Over the past three years, an average of 11 of the 111 Öresund trains have been in the works. Last week, 21 trains were out of service – one in five.
DSB Vedligehold does not recognize the criticism at all.
”"Should any problems arise, we will of course discuss them directly with our Swedish partner," says DSB Vedlighold's CEO Dan Stig Jensen to the newspaper.
