Commuter train stations Stockholm City and Odenplan will be closed

Remove

During the night, SL made the decision to temporarily close the Stockholm City and Odenplan commuter train stations due to problems with the escalators.

– Yesterday we checked the escalators at the stations and discovered safety deficiencies. For evacuation reasons, the stations cannot be used without escalators, says Mattias Sjöström Varg at SL's press service.

What is the advice for travelers?

– We understand that this means major complications. Those traveling from the north will need to change at Solna station, where there will be replacement buses. Those coming from the south will have to get off at Stockholm Södra and take the metro from Mariatorget or Medborgarplatsen.

SL has no forecast for when the stations can reopen, but expects it will not be this week.
