State-owned train giant SJ reports increasing turnover in the second quarter compared to the same period the previous year.
The company is also reporting a decrease in profit.
Sales amounted to SEK 1,997 million (1,964), an increase of 2 percent compared to the previous year. Operating profit was SEK 113 million (174), with an operating margin of 5.7 percent (8.9).

”"During the second quarter, travel measured in passenger kilometers increased by two percent and net sales were two percent better than the same quarter last year. This despite disruptions that resulted in an increase in compensation for delays to our travelers and traffic reductions, which also reduced our revenue," notes CEO Crister Fritzon.
