The American aircraft manufacturer Boeing experienced another setback when the Saudi Arabian low-cost airline Flyadeal canceled a purchase of 737 Max planes worth six billion dollars, or just over 5.35 billion euros.

Flyadeal has stated that it intends to order 30 planes from Boeing's competitor, the French company Airbus. In the future, Flyadeal will only use passenger aircraft in the Airbus A320 family. 

The 737 Max has been grounded after two serious accidents that killed a total of 346 people. There are suspicions of possible faults in the aircraft's control system and autopilot.

Boeing commented on Flyadeal's decision by saying that they wish the company well and that they intend to concentrate on getting the Max plane safely back into service.

Last week, Boeing pledged one hundred million dollars, equivalent to over 88 million euros, in contributions to help the relatives of those who died in the two plane crashes.

Boeing will most likely face the relatives in court, as some have sued the company over the accidents.
