Analyst raises revenue forecast for Finnair

Finnair's traffic figures for the period April-June indicate revenues of 806 million euros for the second quarter.

This is what Evli writes in an analysis, where the bank raises its forecast for Finnair  revenues from 785 million euros.

Evli notes that the company's passenger numbers in the second quarter increased by 13 percent, compared to the previous year. In June, Finnair had a record quarter, measured in terms of passenger numbers, when all companies within the group transported just under 1.4 million passengers.

Evli attributes the growth to three new A350 aircraft, which entered service between December last year and April this year. A new A321 aircraft, which has been used for European flights, also contributed, according to the analysis.

In North America, capacity increased as a result of a new route to Los Angeles and added flights to San Francisco, it further said.

Evli has maintained its recommendation with a target price of 8 euros for Finnair shares, which were up 1.9 percent to 7:43 euros in Helsinki on Wednesday morning.
