Today, there are regular flights between four German cities and Arvidsjaur. This winter, another destination will be added.
– Yes, we will have a new destination to Germany. In addition to those that already exist, there will be a line to Cologne, says Ralf Lundberg, airport manager in Arvidsjaur.
Today there are connections between Arvidsjaur and Hanover, Frankfurt/Hahn, Stuttgart and Munich. The four lines that currently exist to Germany are mainly used by car testers. But the new line to Cologne will have a different focus.
– The large proportion of passengers are probably tourists, says Ralf Lundberg.
The airport expects the new line to bring in around 500 extra passengers per year. This means that at times, when several planes arrive at the same time, it will be crowded, both on the apron and in the arrivals hall.
To cope with these, more people will be employed at the airport.
