Now it's all about moving forward. At least when you read Visit Sweden's brand new marketing plan for 2022: Major international advertising campaigns, one of which is mysteriously named "Cover Sweden", constant relevant and digital visibility in the most important markets for tourism to Sweden and lots of PR and press activities as well as increased focus on knowledge sharing for the Swedish tourism industry.

– It will be a fantastically hectic year, says Visit Sweden's CEO Susanne Andersson.

Visit Sweden has prepared and planned to quickly launch a number of marketing activities as travel restrictions ease and make it easier for people to travel.

– We have our government allocation for 2022 of SEK 124.6 million, which will be used to contribute to the government's vision that Sweden in 2030 is the world's most sustainable and attractive travel destination built on innovation, says Susanne Andersson.

– We started marketing Sweden as a travel destination on a broad front in the world, already in December, where to date we have reached approximately 2 billion people in over 60 countries about Sweden as a travel destination, says Susanne.

“So now it's just full steam ahead,” Susanne concludes metaphorically. In addition to being CEO of Visit Sweden, Susanne is also a certified steamboat officer.
