On Monday morning, March 28, the first regular flight after the corona pandemic took off from Trollhättan-Vänersborg Airport to Stockholm Bromma. ”After two years, order has been restored. The door to better accessibility has been opened again,” notes Anna Råhnängen, CEO of Fyrstads Flygplats AB.

The new premiere of the direct flight to Bromma has been eagerly awaited by many. Not least in the business community in Fyrbodal and western Skaraborg, but also among many private travelers. Now it is once again possible to get to the city-close airport in Stockholm in just one hour.

“Ever since the newly formed and locally owned airline Västflyg announced that they would resume operations, there has been a lot of interest,” says Anna Råhnängen. We have received many calls and many well wishes.

– Aviation plays a very important role in sustainable attractiveness and economic development throughout our large region. Thanks to the regular route to and from Bromma every day of the week, except Saturdays, we have regained a place in the Swedish flight network. Now it is quick and easy to both reach out and get here.

The interest in the direct flight to Bromma is reflected in the number of visits to Västflyg's website and in the bookings.

“Travelers have given a good response and we are satisfied with the booking situation,” says Jenny Iodlovsky Norrby, CEO of Västflyg. Several companies have shown confidence in us by purchasing tickets in advance.

– For many people in the business world, this means that their travel becomes more efficient with more time at home and fewer hotel nights elsewhere. It is appreciated that in this way we contribute to a sustainable working life.
