Kai Pasma appointed Vice President Hotel Operations. Kai previously held senior positions at both Scandic and ESS Group and has had several roles within the Choice Group. He now returns to Nordic Hotels & Resorts and will take the operational organisation to new heights.
Nordic Hotels & Resorts is in a strong expansion phase. They recently opened the highly acclaimed Sommerro in Oslo, Norway's first Art Deco hotel, and many new projects are planned in the coming years. Therefore, they are now strengthening their management with a heavyweight from the industry, Kai Pasma, who will be the new Vice President Hotel Operations.
– With a rapidly growing business, we need an experienced leader with a true understanding of the complexity and uniqueness of our brand portfolio. Kai's background makes him perfect for the role. His results-driven leadership combined with his practical approach is one of his greatest strengths. With him at the helm, we will be able to continue differentiating our portfolio and keep guest satisfaction at its peak, says Henrik Berghult, Chief Operating Officer at Nordic Hotels & Resorts.
Few people have such broad experience as Kai, with leadership roles at both conference hotels and large city hotels, and extensive experience in destination development. His journey in the Nordic Choice group began in 2005, as Director of International Sales. Over the years, he has held positions within Nordic Hotels & Resorts as Director of Sales and as General Manager at Aronsborg Conference Hotel. He was previously co-owner of ESS Group and led the launches of prestigious projects such as Steam Hotel. Most recently, he comes from a position at Scandic Hotels as Regional Director of Operations, where he was also part of the management team for Scandic Sweden.
Kai's guiding star is his passion for leadership development. Nordic Hotels & Resorts is taking significant strides forward, therefore the focus in this role will be on balancing growth with high guest satisfaction. The personalised guest experience is becoming increasingly important, and Kai's main task will be to develop the various brands – while simultaneously supporting the hotels in their local leadership.
– It's a privilege to take on this role and I'm so pleased to be coming home to Nordic Hotels & Resorts again. In this time of restart we all find ourselves in, leadership is paramount, and we will continue to be industry-leading when it comes to guest experience. With such a strong team by my side, it can only be a success, says Kai Pasma, Vice President Hotel Operations at Nordic Hotels & Resorts.
Kai Pasma will take up his position in September and will be part of the Nordic Hotels & Resorts management team, reporting to Chief Operating Officer Henrik Berghult.
