DSV becomes the first company in Denmark to join the SAS Corporate Sustainability Program. The partnership means that DSV will purchase sustainable aviation fuel for all its business trips with SAS in 2023.
The most important factor in reducing emissions in the aviation sector is replacing fossil fuels (kerosene) with sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). Now SAS is accelerating its collaboration with corporate customers to increase the use of SAF. The agreement with DSV marks the start of the SAS Corporate Sustainability Program, an initiative designed to meet the demand for sustainable aviation fuel while reducing climate-impacting emissions from air travel and air cargo.

As one of the world's largest freight forwarders, we are aware of our responsibility to strive to reduce our indirect emissions. Since the pandemic, we have reduced our business trips by air, but as we are a global company with customers and business partners around the world, we cannot completely refrain from flying. With this initiative, we are trying to reduce the environmental impact of our business trips”", says Jens Bjørn Andersen, CEO of DSV.

The SAS Corporate Sustainability Program is designed to achieve the goal of sustainable aviation and secure the future of aviation together with partners. SAS invites all its corporate customers to join by offering a subscription at a fixed cost or reduced carbon emissions.
SAS makes no profit from the purchase. The amount the customer pays corresponds to the price for SAF. The program is audited by an external party to ensure full transparency.
Compared to fossil fuels, sustainable aviation fuels reduce climate-impacting CO2 emissions significantly during the life cycle.
