Experience Kissimmee is pleased to announce its expanded representation in Europe.
With a central office in Stockholm, Sweden and local support in Norway, Denmark and Finland, the organization will collaborate with Aviareps to focus on building trade relationships and product education. The representation started in February 2023.
Experience Kissimmee currently has representation in the UK with strong trade and media relationships, and the new company will help increase the organization's presence in Northern Europe.
”I am excited to continue to develop our trade relationships and expand our presence in this important market,” said Experience Kissimmee CEO DT Minich. ”With this local support, we are well positioned to capitalize on the tremendous growth potential in Northern Europe. This marks an important milestone in our efforts to promote Kissimmee as a top tourist destination and showcase all that our vibrant community has to offer.”
Visitors have many options to travel from the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Finland) to Central Florida. The connection from Amsterdam with Delta Airlines is frequently used, especially by travelers from Norway and Sweden. Currently, the connection requires stopovers, but Delta plans to resume non-stop service by fall 2023. Visitors also have the option to travel directly from Reykjavik, Iceland, with Icelandair outside the summer months (June – August).
Additionally, Norse Atlantic Airways launched direct service from Oslo to Fort Lauderdale, one of Kissimmee’s major car travel markets, in the summer of 2022, resulting in a sharp increase in arrivals from Norway in the following months. Visitors will also have an additional travel option to travel to Central Florida with the opening of the Brightline rail line from South Florida in the summer of 2023.
Known as the Vacation Home Capital of the World® and home to a variety of activities for all ages and interests, Kissimmee is a popular destination for visitors, especially multi-generational families. ”Vacation homes, our signature product in Kissimmee, are perfect for Nordic travelers, especially families coming to Florida for air and road trips,” said Yinglu Tian, Director of International and Domestic Sales. ”With free parking, fully equipped kitchens and some with private pools, they offer a unique experience at an affordable price.”
