Starting Wednesday, June 7, Arlanda Express will resume service between Stockholm Central Station and Arlanda Airport. Service was halted on May 27 due to a derailment. The damage has been repaired and before service resumes, trains, tracks and switches will undergo rigorous safety checks, including the following measures:
- Extra safety inspection on all switches in the facility
- Extra inspection of all vehicles
- Commissioning inspection of the new parts of the facility by external expertise
Traffic will resume with departures every half hour starting at 04:35 from Stockholm Central Station.
