Many tourists visited Stockholm in connection with Taylor Swift's concerts. This was evident not least in SL's sales of short-term tickets and single tickets, which together reached the highest levels so far this year.

Sales of short-term tickets – that is, season tickets valid for 24 hours, 72 hours and 7 days – more than doubled during the concert weekend compared to previous weekends this year. On Friday alone, 11,900 short-term tickets were sold. This compares to 3,600 short-term tickets sold on an average Friday earlier this year.

– We are happy that so many people took public transport during their visit to Stockholm and can also note that traffic flowed well in connection with the concerts, says Suss Forssman Thullberg, Head of Communications and Sales at SL.

Approximately 387,000 single tickets were sold on Friday, May 17. Only the payday weekend in April is at about the same levels for single tickets sold.

– There is a clear Taylor Swift effect that we are seeing in ticket sales this weekend, although we believe that the nice weather has also contributed to the large number of tickets sold, says Suss Forssman Thullberg.

According to the press release.
