Croatia's exceptionally high standard of bathing water is a result of the country's strict environmental laws and extensive efforts to protect its natural resources. From the clear, turquoise waters of the Adriatic coast to the serene inland lakes, Croatia offers outstanding bathing opportunities for both locals and visitors from around the world.
The Minister of Tourism and Sport, Nikolina Brnjac, commented: ”We are incredibly proud of this achievement. It is proof of our commitment to preserving the environment and offering our guests the best possible bathing experiences. We hope that this recognition will inspire even more people to discover Croatia's fantastic bathing spots.”
Croatia's top ranking underlines that the country is one of the leading tourist destinations, not only for its cultural and historical riches but also for its natural beauty and clean environment. Visitors can enjoy various activities, from swimming and diving to sailing and snorkelling, all in some of the cleanest waters in Europe.
