VR is now launching a full 150,000 summer tickets for the express train between Stockholm and Gothenburg – and this year also with a stop in Borås. With hundreds of departures from June 16 to August 10, it will be easy and convenient to take the train to this summer's concerts, festivals and other events. More tickets are being added continuously.
– Summer is an intense travel period with holiday times and major events, from the Guns N' Roses concert in Stockholm to Way Out West, AC/DC and the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, says Erik Wennerholm, acting CEO of VR Snabbtåg in Sweden. We look forward to welcoming many holidaymakers on board and recommend booking your tickets well in advance – not least to get the cheapest tickets.
In addition to Stockholm and Gothenburg, VR's trains also stop in Skövde, Alingsås, Falköping and Herrljunga. This summer, VR will also stop in Borås.
“We plan the traffic so that travel will flow smoothly, despite the maintenance work that is underway on certain routes,” says Erik Wennerholm. This means that this year we can welcome travelers from Borås aboard our summer trains.
In previous years, VR has offered a direct summer line between Stockholm and Ängelholm, but due to track work on the West Coast Line, among other things, passengers this year are being directed to the Öresund Trains for onward travel towards Skåne.
