New Hope, the food industry's children's fund, is now entering a new phase with a newly appointed board and a new chairperson. With great respect for the work built up over the years, the new board is taking over with the ambition to both safeguard the fund's commitment and develop the organisation for the future.

The new board consists of representatives with broad experience from different parts of the travel industry. Together, they share the will to continue strengthening the fund's support for vulnerable children and contribute to long-term initiatives.

The new board and its roles:

Kent Wallstedt (Swedish Travel Industry Association) – Chairman Ingrid Bjurholm – (formerly Trivselresor) Board Member and Treasurer Caroline Lundkvist (Swedish Travel Industry Association) – Board Member and Communications Manager Fredrik Hermelin (SBTA) – Board Member and Sales/Partnerships Manager Yonge Kim (VR Resa) – Board Member and IT Manager Anders Linden (Tranås Travel Agency) – Board Member and Project Manager Jonas Thyberg (Swedish Travel Industry Association) – Board Member, Legal Expert and Secretary Magdalena Höglund (Stockholms Möten) – Board Member and Calendar Project Manager Stefan Maurbakken (The Green Guide) – Board Member and Collection Manager for Calendar Prizes

– We are proud of the legacy we are safeguarding. The work that has been done within New Hope has made a difference for children around the world, and our goal is to build on the commitment that the foundation stands for, says Kent Wallstedt, the new chairman of New Hope.

New calendar for 2026

One of the year's first initiatives will be to re-release the annual calendar for 2026, following a break last year. The calendar is an appreciated feature of the foundation's work and an important contribution to fundraising. The new calendar will go on sale well in advance of Advent 2026, and New Hope hopes for continued strong commitment from the travel industry.

Updates and news throughout the year

In addition to the new calendar, the board of directors is planning several updates within the foundation. The work encompasses both organisational improvements and new projects intended to strengthen the fund's long-term development. Further news will be presented during the year.

New Hope, the children's fund for the industrial industries, looks to the future with confidence and welcomes continued support and collaboration from the industry, partners and donors.
