Starting on May 29, 2023, Royal Jordanian will operate Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Amman Queen Alia Airport (AMM) twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays with an Airbus A320.
The average flight time with Royal Jordanian from Sweden to Amman is 4 hours and 45 minutes.
The airport is located 32 km from Amman city center, which takes 40 minutes by taxi and 60 minutes by bus in normal traffic.
Oneworld member Royal Jordanian, RJ, sees Scandinavia as an important part of an ambitious plan to increase tourism investment in Jordan, but also to make Amman the most central hub in the Levant, previously competing with Beirut. RJ will expand its focus on becoming the leading tourism operator to the area, something that the Stockholm Line is a testament to. The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with the Jordan Tourism Board.
Now they also want to organize trips that showcase Jordan's high-class wine production, fashion scene, food culture and music, including opera! Jordan is already known for the red desert rock city of Petra, with its unique architecture carved directly into the rock and ingenious water supply systems.
A short hop and you can experience the unique spa culture of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, and Aqaba on the crystal-clear Red Sea, with its rich marine life and corals, as well as the historical artifacts of the capital Amman and the ancient Roman city of Jerash, as well as several Christian and Muslim sites of importance. The short distances within Jordan provide further advantages for a richly spiced holiday.
