A thunderstorm prevented two planes from landing at Arlanda.

”Two flights have been diverted to other airports due to the thunderstorm. One from Nice went to Landvetter instead, and then one had to go back to Turku,” says Ellen Laurin, acting press manager at Swedavia.

SAS is now working to enable passengers to return to Arlanda.

”We will do our best to ensure passengers can fly back to Arlanda as soon as possible,” says SAS spokesperson Lars Andersen.

There are also delays in air traffic. Swedavia recommends travellers to stay updated via their airline or tour operator if they have questions about their journey.
