Accident at Arlanda – person fell from plane

A person has fallen from an aircraft at Arlanda while boarding.

– I can confirm that an accident has occurred at our facility. Police and ambulance have been called, says Josefin Haraldsson at Swedavia's press service.

The person's condition is still unknown.

– I do not know more about the circumstances surrounding the accident. The police are on site to investigate. The incident does not affect other traffic at the airport, says Josefin Haraldsson.

Police received the alarm at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

– It is a person who fell from the front bridge of the plane, approximately three meters, says Jens Mårtensson, officer on duty at the Stockholm Police.

The person was reportedly taken to hospital. The incident is being classified as a case of illness.

– The person has hit themselves. It's quite a tall fall from a plane.
