The luxury hotel SO/ Paseo del Prado La Habana opens its doors in one of the city's most iconic neighborhoods, becoming the brand's first hotel in the Americas.
SO/ Hotels & Resorts is Accor’s fastest growing luxury hotel brand. With an exclusive lifestyle concept and uniquely designed facilities, the hotels have become trendy meeting places around the world. And SO/ Havana Paseo del Prado is no exception. French architect Michael Regembal and world-renowned Spanish fashion designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada have collaborated to design the hotel’s design, interiors and staff uniforms. The 250 rooms and 8 larger suites are designed with inspiration from the region’s three popular dance styles – classical ballet, salsa and Son Cubano.
“SO/ is one of Accor’s most vibrant and elegant brands. These hotels capture the character of the destination and combine it with entertainment, creative food and beverage experiences and modern luxury service. Innovative design and fashion are at the heart of the brand and the new hotel in Havana is an exciting addition to our rapidly growing network,” said Heather McCrory, President of Accor North & Central America.
SO/ Paseo del Prado La Habana has three large meeting rooms, a large spa and gym, and a swimming pool with a pool bar. Here, guests can also choose from five different restaurants and bars serving local specialties, including the Cosecha restaurant, which offers a healthy and organic breakfast concept. And if you have a sweet tooth, the hotel also has its own chocolate café with edible and drinkable delicacies.
– Cuba has taken great strides as a destination in recent years. For Nordic travelers, this means that Havana is now growing as a destination for both business and leisure visits. The launch of SO/ Havana Paseo del Prado brings a new level of luxury to the city, says Jan Birkelund, Development & Operations for Accor in the Nordics.
