The Irish leasing company ACIA Aero Leasing has completed a sale and leaseback deal with Braathens Regional Airlines for two ATR72-600 aircraft.
The aircraft are used on regional routes in Sweden and Northern Europe on behalf of SAS. Following the deal, ACIA's leasing fleet at Braathens comprises a total of three aircraft, while the company's total ATR fleet grows to 38 aircraft.
“We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Braathens through this deal. It demonstrates our continued support for the airline’s development,” says Mick Mooney, CEO of ACIA Aero Leasing.
Braathens highlights the collaboration as an important part of the company's ongoing change work and expansion together with SAS.
“We appreciate ACIA's continued support during the transformation Braathens has undergone in recent years. The deal demonstrates the strength of the collaboration between our teams,” says Mia Jakobsson, responsible for Fleet Management & PMO at Braathens.
Braathens Regional Airlines operates an extensive regional route network and acts as an important partner to SAS by delivering feeder traffic and regional connections in the Nordic region.
