Securitas lost control of Arlanda last year, but has now been assigned to take care of security operations for Gothenburg Landvetter Airport.

The assignment, which was previously run in-house, will be transferred to Securitas SECU B +0.72% in May 2019, according to a press release.

”"During the autumn, Swedavia carried out a public procurement of security services and Securitas has been entrusted with responsibility for the operation of the security screening service as well as airport security and surveillance. The agreement is signed for three years with an option of 4×12 months and the security company is very positive about the trust," the company writes.

Securitas handles security at 18 airports in Sweden, according to the press release. However, the company lost the contract for Arlanda in early 2017.
