Air Canada will begin competing on North American flights to Arlanda outside Stockholm. Next summer, the company will operate Arlanda–Montreal three times a week and with an additional two flights a week to and from Toronto.

Air Canada belongs to the Star Alliance airline alliance, which SAS is now planning to leave in connection with Air France–KLM becoming the owner of the Scandinavian company. SAS already has flights to Toronto.
