Air Leap has decided to continue flying Örnsköldsvik – Stockholm Arlanda on a commercial basis after the Swedish Transport Administration announced that the route is no longer covered by the state procurement.

From 1 January 2022, Air Leap will operate the route entirely on a commercial basis and will continue to expand the timetable. From 30 January, there will be two daily return flights, Monday to Friday, and one return flight on Sundays.

“Örnsköldsvik is a very dynamic city with a thriving industry with many international branches, therefore there is a great need for well-functioning air traffic connecting to Stockholm-Arlanda,” says Jon Melkersson, CEO of Air Leap.

"We are currently in the third deep wave of the Covid pandemic, with major challenges for all airlines. Despite this, we have decided to continue flying Örnsköldsvik-Arlanda on commercial grounds and without state support," Jon Melkersson continues.
