Air Serbia is resuming service to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport after a seven-year hiatus. From July 17, travelers from western Sweden will be able to fly to the Serbian city of Niš. The direct route will operate with two departures per week.
Air Serbia is now returning to Gothenburg Landvetter. The new destination is Niš, the country's third largest city, located in eastern Serbia on the Nišava River. The city is located in the middle of the Balkans with intersecting European routes connecting the city with Asia and Western Europe.
The direct route, which starts on July 17, is operated year-round with the Airbus A319 aircraft model. Air Serbia began operations in 2013 and is the successor to the Belgrade-based companies Aeroput (1927), JAT Yugoslav Airlines (1947) and Jat Airways (2003).
