
Total air traffic in October, measured as revenue per passenger kilometer flown (RPK), rose just over 31 percent in October, compared to the corresponding period last year.
This is reported by the aviation organization IATA.
Globally, air traffic is now at 98.2 percent of pre-pandemic levels.
Domestic traffic in October rose nearly 34 percent, driven by triple-digit growth in China.
International traffic rose nearly 30 percent.
IATA, or the International Air Transport Association, represents approximately 320 airlines that together account for 83 percent of global air traffic.
