The situation has improved for air traffic in the Stockholm area after Sunday's thunderstorms. However, several aircraft were delayed during the afternoon, according to the state-owned airport company Swedavia.
Around 20 flights to and from Arlanda Airport have been affected by this afternoon's thunderstorm, but according to Swedavia, the traffic situation has improved.
”"We are on our way back to a more normalized situation," says Peter Wärring, press spokesperson at Swedavia, to TT at 3:30 p.m.
”The plane that was supposed to land has started to land,” he adds.
According to Wärring, however, it is unclear when traffic will be completely back to normal.
Bromma Airport has also been affected by delays during the thunderstorm, although that airport has been affected to a lesser extent than Arlanda.
