Air traffic secured in Gällivare – according to new requirements

Remove

Air traffic to and from Gällivare is secured for the coming winter. The Swedish Transport Administration and the flight operator Nordic Aviation Group have signed an agreement for a different aircraft type that meets the new international friction requirements.

The solution was to replace the current jet aircraft operating on the Arlanda–Gällivare route via Arvidsjaur with a turboprop aircraft that meets the new regulations.

This means that the flight time will be longer and that you will have fewer seats per flight, but according to a press release from the Swedish Transport Administration, this will be compensated by more trips per week.
