Airbus climbs 2.3 percent after beating competitor Boeing to an American order.

American airline United is ditching Boeing in favor of Airbus when it purchases 50 new planes worth the equivalent of SEK 65 billion. According to United, the planes will be used on routes between the US East Coast and major European cities, replacing Boeing's 757-200 model that currently operates the routes.

According to sources to AFP, the choice is based on the fact that Boeing does not have any aircraft model that can compete with Airbus in this particular segment.
