European aircraft manufacturer Airbus reported an adjusted operating profit for the third quarter of 1.576 billion euros, equivalent to just over 16 billion kronor.

Analysts expected a profit of 1.441 million euros, according to a Reuters poll.

Airbus is sticking to its forecast of delivering 800 aircraft this year but warned that a series of industrial problems pose challenges.

Shares are trading up by around 1.6 percent on the Paris stock exchange on Wednesday morning.
