Deliveries of aviation giant Airbus' best-selling single-aisle aircraft will be delayed until 2024, Reuters news agency reports.

The data, which initially came from industry sources, was later confirmed by the company, which said it did not reflect any worsening of supply chain problems since revising production plans earlier this year.

Airbus reaffirms production targets for 2024 and beyond.

Airlines and leasing companies have expressed dissatisfaction in recent months with a series of short-term delays due to ongoing supply chain problems, Reuters notes.
