Airbus announces in two separate press releases that it has secured orders with the American airlines Moxy and Jetblue.

Moxy, an aviation startup, has placed an order for 60 A220-300 aircraft. The planned order was announced at the Farnborough Airshow this summer but was not signed until the last week of December. The financial details are confidential.

Behind Moxy is Jetblue founder David Neeleman.

JetBlue has also confirmed an order for an equal number of aircraft of the same model from Airbus. As in the case of Moxy, the order was signed in late December with financial details kept confidential.

Airbus will manufacture the aircraft at its factory in Mobile, Alabama, with production starting later this month.
