Aviation giant Airbus is to cut 750 jobs in its Defense & Space division, according to sources told Reuters. This corresponds to two percent of the workforce.

The company has confirmed the information to the news agency but states that it does not mean a net reduction in the number of employees as the business is growing overall.

No layoffs are expected, but will mostly occur through natural departures and not filling vacant positions over the next two years.

Airbus Defence & Space had 34,330 employees at the end of 2022.
