Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has reported a billion-euro loss for the first half of the year, as expected. Net profit came in at minus 1.9 billion euros, equivalent to almost 20 billion kronor. In the corresponding period in 2019, the company instead made a profit of 1.2 billion euros.
Just like its competitor Boeing, Airbus saw its revenues plummet during the period. Airbus pulled in 18.9 billion euros, a decrease of a whopping 39 percent.
Airbus writes in the interim report that the figures reflect the impact of Covid-19 but that various adjustments have counteracted the negative development.
