Airplane forced to make emergency landing at Skavsta

An aircraft en route from Bromma to Ängelholm was forced to make an emergency landing at Skavsta Airport on Sunday afternoon, Expressen writes.

”"We received the alarm just before 5 p.m., then they landed just ten minutes after that. Everything went well," says Sara Jönsson at the Maritime and Air Rescue Center to TT.

The reason the plane, which belongs to the airline Bra, had to make an emergency landing was that ice had formed on the plane's wings.

”When ice forms, the flow over the wings changes and the lift force decreases,” says Sara Jönsson.
