A plane from Tel Aviv to New York encountered severe turbulence shortly before landing on Friday evening. The plane, belonging to United Airlines, was supposed to land at Newark, but was diverted to Stewart airport. Ambulances were waiting there and seven of the more than 300 passengers were taken to the hospital for checkups, reports News 12 Westchester.

No one was seriously injured, but several of the passengers complained of nausea, dizziness and chest pressure.
