Lufthansa reports an adjusted operating profit of 1.35 billion euros for the third quarter of 2018.
A result of 1.34 billion euros was expected, according to Bloomberg News' forecast compilation.
Net sales amounted to EUR 9.96 billion. Net sales of EUR 10.01 billion were expected.
Lufthansa and its subsidiary airlines Swiss, Austrian and Brussels Airlines, like the Nordic SAS, are part of the Star Alliance partnership.
